At Sound Boatworks, we’re committed to ensuring your satisfaction. If you’re not completely happy with your purchase, you may return or exchange your item within 30 days of delivery, subject to the guidelines below.


Return and Exchange Process

To initiate a return or exchange, follow these steps:

  1. Download and Complete the Return/Exchange Form:

  2. Include the Form in Your Package:
    Fill out the form and place it inside the box with your return.

  3. Ship Your Return To:

Return Guidelines

  • Condition: Items must be in new, unused condition, in original packaging, and include all tags.
  • Shipping: Use a traceable shipping method. We recommend, but do not require, shipping insurance. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

Return Windows and Fees

  • Within 30 Days: Full refund to the original payment method.

  • 31-45 Days: Eligible for store credit only.

  • After 45 Days: Returns are not accepted unless approved by Sound Boatworks staff.

  • Final Sale Items: Items from the clearance or closeout sections are final sale and cannot be refunded. A 10% restocking fee applies, with store credit issued.

  • Custom or Modified Products:

    • Cut Rope & Custom Rigging: Not eligible for return. If returned, a 20% restocking fee will apply, and store credit will be issued.
    • Installed or Modified Hardware: Not eligible for return.

Processing and Refunds

  • Refund Timeline: Please allow 7-14 business days for processing. During busy seasons, processing may take longer.
  • Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. If your payment method has expired or is no longer active, contact us to arrange an alternative refund method.

Once your refund is processed, you’ll receive an email confirmation, including the refund amount and date. Please allow 2-10 business days for the refund to reflect on your account, depending on your financial institution.


Exchanges

  • If you need an exchange, indicate the new item details on your Return/Exchange Form. If you require shipping to a different address or are working with a specific timeframe, notify us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

  • Defective or Incorrect Items:
    For damaged or incorrect items, we’ll provide a prepaid shipping label and ship the correct items. Wait to receive replacement parts before returning incorrect items, as the return label will be included in the replacement package.
